King Swing Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How does the King Swing work?
A. You are strapped into a specialized paragliding harness, clipped to a cable in a sitting position and cinched up tight like a slingshot, before being released off the bridge.
Q. How fast do you come off the bridge and what is the G-force effect?
A. You could experience speed up to 140 km/hr and up to 2.3 Gs.
Q. How old do you have to be to do the King Swing?
A. You must be over the age of 12 and a minimum of 95 lbs (43.1 kgs).
Q. Do I need parental consent?
A. If you are under the age of 19, your waiver forms must be signed by both you and a legal parent or guardian.
Q. Can we do rides tandem (two people at once)?
A. Yes! You can King Swing with another person. The King Swing can hold a maximum weight of 500 lbs. (226.8 kgs).
Q. Are there clothing requirements for the King Swing?
A. Appropriate seasonal clothing is recommended. No slip-on shoes and no loose baggy clothing or shirts wrapped around the waist.
Q. Is it possible for physically disabled persons to do the King Swing?
A. Anyone can go on the King Swing– as long as they meet the age and weight restrictions and complete the waiver form. We've even had a person do it in their wheelchair (need lots of notice for that one)!
